Well, looks like I am going to have to spend the money on buying a smaller horm, for my cylinder machine. Especially, now that I have more cylinders for it. The only reason why I don't play this machine. Is because, setting it up with that brass horn is a real pain. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice horn, but it's impracticle, unless I was demoing the machine, in a large facility.

The only prob with that Paul is any horn larger than a witch's hat is going to require a crane, so you're back at square one again. I have an Edison MG horn for a Standard for sale, but it does require a crane. And a witch's hat just doesn't cut it for reproduction.

Thanks Bill,
The only problem with my horn, is that I have the wrong crane for it. I think, my crane was ment for a moring glory horn, and my brass hone needs a floor crane. Because, when I use the brass horn, with the crane I have, the chain hangs at an angle, instead of straight down, like it's supposed too.

How long is your horn, Paul? If it's in the vicinity of 36", you do need a floor crane to properly support it.

Paul, then I would suggest you seriously consider a floor crane. The standard case mounted crane is not really up to the task esthetically or viably due to the weight of the horn.

That's what I thought? Thanks Bill. BTW: Would a Morning Glory horn work with the crane that I do have?

Oh good. Well if I find on of those, at a reasonable price, I'll buy one.

Bought a nice Music cabinet to hold, my cylinders and my Cylinder phonograph, for $195.00. It's Maoghany, with a drawer, and shevles that are just wite enough for most of the cylinders. The Wizard's are a little taller, so I lay them on there sides.

Okay, bought a nice 14" brass "witches hat", horn for my machine. Needed some polishing, other then that, it's in nice condition. Fit's on my Edsion nicely, although it is louder then the larger horn, but it's easier to work with. Come too think of it, the cylinders are loud themselves, with either horn. Well, with the smaller horn, I notice a difference in volume. Anyway, now I can enjoy my cylinder machine, without the hassel, of setting up the larger horn. Especially, since I live in a condo. Of course I am not planning on giving up the larger horn. Hopefully, I can find either a floor crane, or a longer rubber tube, for the end of the horn.
