Hello all, today I picked up my first phonograph. I am learning about these machines as I go. According to the plate, it's an Amberola X. It is missing it's crank, so I ordered one and I think I need a belt as well. However, looking around in the mechanism underneath it looks like something is broken. Spring barrel maybe? See pic below. Thank you so much for your insight. - Aaron

The X, iirc, used a 'Gem' motor, which did not have a spring barrel. What you have there looks like a broken mainspring.

BillS, thank you for your reply! That's majorly helpful. It does look like the Gem has the same motor inside. I am putting together an order from The Phonograph Shop. I am getting some belting, and the HQ39 spring, which according to their reference, fits the Amberola X. It also looks like I am missing this piece(s) circled in red. The piece for the end of the spring and the pin that holds it? What are these called? Thanks again!
