Anyone have an extra copy of "C-H-I-C-K-E-N (That's The Way To Spell Chicken)" for sale? Thanks, Luke W.

Is that the kid's song that uses the tune of Ed2M 9111 "WHAT YOU GONNA DO WHEN THE RENT COMES 'ROUND (Rufus Rastus Johnson Brown) by Arthur Collins? I can't find any reference of a wax or BA with the title C-H-I-C-K-E-N in it except CHICKEN CHOWDER and CHICKEN REEL on wax.

It's not really a kid's song, but it became one long after it was new. It's a Ragtime 'coon song'. I Googled the lyrics and found references to it mixed in with the lyrics to 'Rufus Rastus Johnson Brown' but they aren't the same song originally. I think I have a copy of it on batwing Victor by Collins & Harlan(?), but it must be at our other house in Indiana because I can't find it here (I confess I don't keep my disc records very organized and I don't even have a filing system or database). I just assumed it was on cylinder too. Thanks for looking for me . . . maybe it's on Columbia or one of the Indestructibles? BTW: Vandyke Parks does a rockin' version of it on his CD 'Moonlighting: Live At The Ash Grove'. [Weird . . . there should be a space between the 'n' in his first and the 'd' in his second name and the 'd' should be capitalized, but the forum software keeps bleeping it to a "D**e"! Must think I'm using a cuss word or something?]

I would agree by the "swish" that it's a disc. I'm guessing a 7", perhaps a Columbia or and early Monarch?
