Gents, I recently saw a stand designed for the VV-50 portable. And wouldn't you know it I don't remember where-I didn't book mark it. It was a very simple open-topped stand that the '50 sat right it. Has any one ever seen such a beast? better yet does anyone have the plans for one? Regards, J. P.S. Gents, I found the photos, I had saved them and forgot about it. Regards, J. P.P.S. I found where I originally saw these photos: The Old Crank, Hey, I was hired for my looks-not my brains!

I've seen vintage ads for this stand, but never seen one for sale anywhere - looks pretty simple and straightforward - do I sense a future project coming on here John?

Matt Matt, You've got me laughing at that one! I'm not one much for joinery, but I'm am thinking about it. I should look for a cheap used drill press for dowels. Very often my problem is not having the right tools. It does look pretty straightforward. I should have showed you my "work shop" in the cellar when you were here, you'd still be laughing! Regards, J.

I can't find any of the ads for this stand at the moment, but I know that I have them here somewhere - I'm guessing that it was offered in oak as well, since the majority of VV-50's were oak....
I need a second workshop here, where I can set up my "messy" tools and not have to worry about sawdust flying around while I'm trying to put a coat of shellac on a cabinet. Someday...

Matt,
Try varnishing a door out on the sidewalk under a tree! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D That's how I did mine and a friend's two years ago. That's fun! That's one thing I will have to figure out myself when I tackle my Granada X.
Regards, J.
