Matt,
Where this board requires you to sign in before viewing the posts, why do I sometimes see one or more 'guests' showing when there are logged members on the board?

Bill,
Since I have admin privileges I have checked the IPs of guest posters on several occasions and learned that they are not really guest posters, but Board members who for some reason are showing up as guest posters. I haven't the foggiest idea why!

Ah, ok Rocky.
I was just curious if someone had found a 'back door' to view the board.

I "think" that perhaps registered members can log in and use a "stealth" mode, so others cannot see that they are logged on. To my knowledge, no one can view the board without registering (which I believe is a good thing).

I never could really understand the purpose of that feature. Seems rather juvenile to me. Bill

I've seen the "guest" post designation many times on this Board. On several occasions I checked the IP address of the guest poster. My guess is that we are all showing up as "guests" on the computers of other posters.
