I noticed tonight that I didn't have to sign in before viewing the Board and I could actually post as a "guest". Is this de riguer now or is there a glitch in the Proboard?

Something strange going on over at OTVMMB, too. Clicked on my bookmark for the site, and this page came up: www.proboards.com/index.htmlWhat do I do now???

Matt changed the Board to allow "view only" status for nonmembers and those who are not signed in, just as on the OTVMMB. It seems odd that guests would be able to initiate or respond to posts. This did seem to be the case earlier, but the situation has apparently rectified itself. We'll have to watch this closely.
Also, I can't access the OTVMMB today as Henry pointed out. When I try to get to Dan's Board, I reach Proboards main page.
Rocky
Update: I pulled up the OTVMMB and resaved the link.

I checked every Forum on the Board as a guest, and note that a guest can initiate/respond to posts only in the "General - All Purpose Phono Board."

I see what you mean Rocky, but doesn't that leave this section wide open to the crap Dan's board was receiving?

Hmm... Matt has to fix something there, yes it will (probably) open this place up to the same stuff the other board was having issues with....that wouldn't be good Sean

Bill and Sean,
Valid points! I hope that this can be easily corrected.

Hey John, thanks a million! How did you know? What did I miss? Have I been asleep? Do I ask too many questions? No kidding, I never received any word of the change and, until your post, no clue as to how to get back in to the OTVMMB. So again, many thanks! I look forward to many more off-topic rants on the OTVMMB!

Henry,
I don't know-I just figured posting a currently working link would take care of things. Maybe your computer dumped it's "cookies" Heh Heh! I've been using the very same book mark all through the latest upgrade without a problem.
Regards, J.
