Does anyone have a picture of the Standard B mandrel gearing, not the 2/4 minute conversion, but the regular 2 minute set-up?
I just acquired a Standard B rebuild project, and I'm fairly certain it's missing one or more gears on the mandrel shaft. I don't have a copy of Frow's book (if that would even help), but if anyone has a Standard B 2 minute set up, that would be great.
Thanks!!

Hi GibsonJ and welcome to the board!! This is a pic of one of my STANDARD Bs with the gear cover off. I believe this is what you requested. Let me know if you need one of the top two gears. I have both (one is part of the feed screw assembly) with bearings and screws. Bill

Bill
This is exactly what I needed to see. Thanks!
To the right of the small mandrel gear, where the mandrel shaft goes through the bedplate casing, is there supposed to be a bearing? On my machine, the mandrel shaft is substantially smaller than the hole in the casing, so seems like there should be a bearing there?
Thanks again.

Hi GJ,
Yes, there is a bearing there and it is held in/adjusted by two screws. The is a larger flat head screw that adjusts the end shake of the bearing on the side of the gear stanchion, and a small set screw on the top to lock the bearing after the end shake has been adjusted.
