Hi Folks -
I have a Model K reproducer and I need to know two things – how is the diaphram connected to the needles? Mine has what looks like a straight pin going through the hole in the square piece in the center of the diaphram but it doesn’t go anywhere. Pictures would be great!
What is the orientation of the needles? If anyone has a good picture, that would be great.
Thanks a lot.
Vicky

Hi Vicky,
Sounds like you have the partial link there and that the end that hooks through the 2 & 4M styli has broken off or was straightened to remove the stylus bars. I will get a picture on later today of an up close shot of one of my Ks.
Bill
*EDIT* Vicky,
I looked again at the pic you supplied of your K with the diaphragm and link showing. It appears that the hook at the end was broken off.

Vicky, Here is a pic of a K set in the 2M position as shown by the indicator on the swivel. Both styli have been thinned out at the ends where the link wire hooks through them. Moving the indicator clockwise to the stop on the weight will move the 4M stylus into playing position. Bill
