neophone
nice machine, I can't wait to hear it on youtube.
I don't think walnut and mahogany were ever made for each other.
I just finished saving a Music Master mahogany wood horn from the trash and I have to say It is quite stunning when restained and covered with a satin finish laquer.

Do you have the radio that this horn belongs to? If so, you must supply pics of it all assembled!!!

Hi Bill
No I don't have the radio but do have the neck for the horn but no base. The neck will be a bit of a problem matching thr black and gold crackle paint.
I found a antique radio guy near me and I am going to call him today to see if he has a Base and working driver.
I would like to run the driver off a reproducer head from the phonograph to the horn. Not sure if that can be done a cheap price???
I know you can use the horn of the phonograph for a radio but vis versa Not sure?
Bill maybe you know something about this?

Kevan,
You would have to change the ring that connects the bell to the horn neck if you want to use it on an Edison. Repros are available for this. Also, Edison used different decals than the one pictured, but it would be a shame to remove the one that is there. You can get the crackle type paint in a spray can to reproduce the finish on the horn neck.

Bill This can also be woodgrained to match the mahogany just as they did it on the goose necks of the of the Music Masters for phonographs.
