Hi all-I'm new to the forum, but been fooling with phonos for years. I have a good working complete AMB 5 mech and wanted to try to dig up an original cabinet with all hardware, horn, and top grill-I can get a repro front grill if need be.
I have had a couple of these in the past complete in mahogany, but sold them years ago.
Oak would be my first choice, but I won't turn any mahogany offers down.
I would be interested in a basket case machine, too, so if anyone has an inoperable incomplete machine, I'm insterested as I have enough parts to complete something else, I'm sure.
Any help/leads appreciated.

Chris,
I wish you had posted this prior to the Wayne show. A friend of mine had brought 2 oak Vs to the show for sale and one was a decent shaped machine that needed a little work. He wanted $200.00 for it and I passed it up. I know he sold it a short time later but I believe he may have a few more. I will contact him and see what he has for sale in that line.

Hi Bill-THANK YOU for your reply, and interest in helping me. I need a gear cover and a feedscre, and the part of the reproducer to horn ujoint connection thingy, but I only need the reproducer end as I have the swivel proper that the part I need goes into. I'm sort of an old hand at this, but I let my MAPS membership lapse a few years ago and am just getting back into this stuff and digging out my projects after a couple of house moves. I know these are tough parts I need but a reasonably priced basket case machine might be the way to go. Any help appreciated and my direct email is tubeandplate@bellsouth.net if you turn anything up, have a lead, whatever.
I'm casually looking for a long case/green oak Home A bottom cabinet as well, condition unimportant.
Thanks Bill! BTW, Your AMB V on the forum here really looks very nice! Feel free to drop me a line...

If you change your mind and decide to part with the mechanism I would be very interested. Just say the word and I'll find the cash asap. Otherwise Good luck, the V is a nice machine.
