Hello,
Our son inherited an Edison Cylinder Phonograph from his grand dad. It seems to be pretty much intact and in good shape. No crank and no belt. Serial number is H104658. I have no knowledge of these machines and, given all the other "projects" I have lurking in the basement, the chances of getting to it and giving it the time, care and attention it probably needs, we've decided to sell it on his behalf. On the other hand, money isn't the only consideration - we'd like to see it go to someone who will "use" it as opposed to a decorator who'll put it on a shelf in a restaurant! Any advice will be much appreciated. I have some decent photographs of it. It's pretty grubby but decided not to touch it as, in my experience, collectors like to do their own cleaning. Thank you.
