Okay well, I had a good time at the Wayne show, and I came home with some cool treasures. One of which is a very nice Edison Amberol Machine model 30. So now I have three nice examples of Edison machines. I also got too choose 10 cylinders, that came with the machine.
Since this is my first foray into Blue Amberols. Is there anything I should know?
As soon as my cammera recharges, I will post a pic, of my machine.

Congrats Paul! It looks like a really nice 30. Does it have a nickel plated reproducer, or is it a trick of the light? I think it will fast become your favorite cylinder machine. They're just so compact & ready to use. They also sound surprizingly good for their size as you'd know. Did you get any fabulous titles in the cylinders you got with the machine?

Oh well, you got a couple good quartet & Van Brunt cylinders there. Preacher & The Bear was a great score. That's one of the best songs ever put on cylinder IMO. Most of the others I haven't heard before.

Ten, of those came from the Wayne show, and five came from two different antique malls.

Actually Bill, I do not know. The Cylinder will not slide onto the mandrel. A good chunck of the plaster core is missing, and part of the celluloid is bent. So I have not been able to play this cylinder.
Yes Shane, the reproducer is nickle plated.
