Thanks Bill. I've searched those forums and haven't found anything yet. I'm finding information on other models but not the model VI. Someone on a facebook phonograph group came up with a copy of an old add that shows this model but that's about all so far.

Hi Everyone, I just acquired a Pathe Model VI, my first Pathe. I own several other machines but know next to nothing about Pathes. It's in pretty good shape and plays well but I can't seem to find any information about it on the web. It is a rather largish, table top player and has an adjustable reproducer that will play both vertical cut and standard 78s. Anyone have any information on this model? Thanks, Bill

I cataloged some of my DDs today and found a few anomalous labels so I thought I would post them here just for the sake of conversation. Does anyone else find these sort of anomalies? I'm sure they can all be written off as human error but interesting.
Bill
50558-L, 6687-B, Oh! Lawdy (Something's done got between Ebenezer and me!) 50558-R, 6686-A, I want to hold you in my arms. Label type II.A (embossed with four solid, concentric rings). The matrix/take/mold numbers are inside the rings (in the label area) on both sides rather than in the run off area.
50535-L, 6634-B, Mummy mine - Foxtrot (Rose) 50535-R, 6644-A, Me-Ow - One-step (Mel Kaufman) Label type II. A (embossed with four solid, concentric rings). Matrix/take/mold numbers in normal place in run out on left side but within the rings of the label on the right side.
50644-L,7081-C-6-12, Hippity Hop (Walter Donaldson). The āCā is written backwards in the matrix/take/mold numbers but numbers are not reversed.
50649-L, 7145?, My isle of golden dreams. Matrix number but no take or mold number on left side but present on right side.

First one huh? Yeah, I remember my first one -- it was an impulse buy too. Then came the second one, the third one, fourth, fifth, sixth... It can become addicting but at least it's a good addiction. Nice find and great price with the disc.

Hi Folks.
My wife just gifted me with a very nice Columbia Type B cylinder player (thank you wife). We already own a Edison Diamond Disc and a couple of early phonograph but I have no experience with cylinder players. The player came with several Edison Gold Moulded cylinders, a few Columbia Indestructibles and one Edison Blue Amberol. My first question -- which cylinders can I play with this machine and which one can I not play? Also, are there different reproducers for playing different types of cylinders or just a standard reproducer?
Thanks in advance, Bill

Sorry, just realized that this should have been posted in the "Other Brands" forum.

Thanks Martin. I assumed that the last two numbers represented steps in the process as you outline, I just wasn't sure. Thanks for the welcome. Bill

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the board so I wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. My name is Bill and I live in south Alabama. I have a H 19 Diamond Disc player (also a Sonora and a Vocalion phonograph). I'm currently logging my Diamond Discs (about 60 at the moment) and have a question about the matrix number. I know that the number refers to the song and the letter to the take. What do the next two numbers refer to. It seems I've read it on line somewhere but can't seem to find it.
Thanks, Bill
