Hi Guys, I have an Edison Standard that I had the 2/4 min conversion installed. It seems to work great on the 4 min side. However the 2 min side about 80 percent through starts to skip and double up words and play poorly. Any tips on what to do? Confused as to why I don't have any problems on the 4 minute side. Neil

I have been reading that there a meetings and shows of Phonograph/Victrola collectors. I see that there is one in Wayne, NJ. I think that would be the closest for me to go to. Anyway, does anyone know a website for this show or know the dates for the spring show? Are they worth attending?
I am still perplexed about this forum. I don't see a lot of people answering questions or being active here. I truly hope that there are more collectors willing to open up a bit and chat at a show.

When you play a cylinder record should there ever be white shavings on the reproducer and some on the disc afterwards? If not, I might have a problem.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good Edison repair tech near the Pittsburgh area? I would like to keep it under 4 hours or so. Thank you. Enjoying this forum...

I recently purchased an Edison Standard model B. I ordered the 2/4 combination kit to upgrade the machine. It came with "original style instructions" Anyway, on the instructions they are very small and to me (a very non mechanical person) cryptic. I can't see what letters correspond to what parts. Does anyone have a video or a step by step set of instructions with actual photos that they could share? I hate like heck to have to send this to someone to have a "10 minute" job done to get it to work. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Newbie here: I purchased a kit to upgrade my new Edison Standard Model B to a 4 minute machine. Anyway, the diagram that came with the machine and instructions is very small and honestly not all that clear. Does anyone have anything better that I could follow to do this? Maybe a youtube video or something? Help would be greatly appreciate.
